About me

OK, so let’s rewind a bit… I qualified as an Anaesthetic ODP over twenty years ago, starting off at Guys and St. Thomas’ Hospital before moving on to work with world renowned cosmetic surgeons on Harley Street within the private sector.

I qualified in Aesthetics in 2018 and decided to start my own business, providing natural enhancement procedures to people who wanted a little boost. I remember sitting down with my business coach in the beginning saying that I just wanted to help people recognise themselves in the mirror again!

And that is something I still strive for every single day.

“The best injectables are undetectable”

The aesthetic industry is sadly still unregulated and unfortunately there are many cheap and unsafe non CE marked products out there giving aesthetics a bad name causing unwanted complications – and practitioners are using them on people’s FACES!!

so while I use the more expensive products I stand by my promise when I started my business that “if I wouldn’t put it in my face, then it won't go my clients”

no way.

”Aesthetics is where Art meets Science”

I like things that are backed by science and years of clinical research. They last longer, they’re proven safe and effective and you get better results from them PLUS you are less likely to experience complications afterwards.

You just want to look the best version of you. Not the latest craze (with a witchy chin or an over chisled jaw)

None of my clients will ever have “they’ve gone too far with the fillers” said about them.

It was always my dream to work for myself.

The long days, night shifts, working weekends, being on call, having a capped nurses income, is just so hard to manage around childcare and having a family. Making this change in my career and life was truly the best thing I ever did – I finally have that work/life balance I craved as an Anaesthetic ODP.

I have more money, more time for myself and am more available to my family than ever before. I’m able to take holidays and a day off when I please and my mental health is better than ever..

But most importantly – this doesn’t feel like work in the slightest!

I can put 110% into my business, reinvest in my education and constantly be improving, learning new techniques and bringing in new treatments to the salon for my clients.

”When you think you know it all, that’s when it’s time to go out and learn some more”

Particularly in an industry like Aesthetics where its constantly evolving, constantly changing so it’s really important to keep up that education, keep with the moving times.

I said earlier that I think of Aesthetics being like science and art meeting - I've always been a creative, and loved all of the arts but then I've always been a massive geek and loved science, so aesthetics is where I can bring my two passions together.

So science is what I'm really good at - it just makes sense in my brain - and creativity is what I love, so then with aesthetics I'm able to bring my two best strengths together, and excel! Plus adding a making money element into it, my business just doesn't feel like work. My head so busy all the time, but as soon as I get that needle in my hand it's .. like….  Zen!

And I am super passionate about helping other people make this change in their lives.

Which leads me nicely on to the training academy I launched in 2022

So, let’s rewind again….

As well as aesthetics, I am also very passionate about teaching - when I first applied to Uni it was for teaching, and then I had a change of heart once I went to go and do my work experience.

My uncle was a Theatre Manager at Great Ormond Street Hospital and I went and did some work experience there and then realised this is where I want to be - this is me!

But throughout my career working within a clinical setting I realised that I wanted to get back into teaching.  It was then that the opportunity came up to become an ALS (Advanced Life Support) Provider where you learn how to prevent a cardiac arrest, and how to help a patient in cardiac arrest.  I was one of ten people that year invited by the Resus Council to join them, so that I could then teach other healthcare professionals Advanced Life Support.

My favourite thing about working for myself and running Jodie Suant Aesthetics has to be boosting people’s confidence and seeing how much the smallest little tweak can just transform someone’s life. They walk in happy, and that smile that they have when they walk out happier is just the best.

The future of Jodie Suant Aesthetics is bright

I am looking to expand by getting a bigger clinic and more staff, looking into more treatments that can make people feel great and make a difference.
